Lonnie Keene, Esq.

Lonnie has unparalleled experience assisting companies with their anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and international sanctions programs. Lonnie has 25 years of transactional, compliance, government and market entry experience, having worked in virtually every facet of this practice area as a chief compliance officer, associate general counsel, attorney or in service to the U.S. government. He has particular expertise with matters relating to anti-money laundering (AML), OFAC and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

Lonnie was Executive Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer and Government Affairs for MoneyGram International. In this position, he was responsible for the company’s global compliance program and its relationships with lawmakers and industry regulators. From 2002 to 2008, Keene was a Vice President with Goldman Sachs, where he was promoted to Associate General Counsel and advised the firm’s global business lines across a spectrum of transactional risk, including AML, OFAC and FCPA issues that arise in investment banking, capital markets and private equity transactions. Keene began his legal career in 1998 and over the next four years focused on corporate transactional matters with law firms in the U.S., London and Hong Kong.
